These online courses run from Jan 23 - Apr 24 2017. These are non-credit courses designed for farmers, entrepreneurs, investors, and others interested in learning about aquaculture but who do not wish to pursue a degree.

2. UVI Aquaponics Workshops
Offered Mar 18-10 and May 17-19. These 3-day courses provide in-depth knowledge of the principles and practical application of the aquaponic system that has been developed at the University of the Virgin Islands. Participants will be introduced to the system design that maintains water quality by hydroponic plant culture (aquaponics), Fish production instruction will be conducted using both the Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and red tilapia. Hydroponic plant production will focus on vegetables, culinary herbs and ornamental flowers.
3. University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is offering two semester-long college aquaponics courses starting in February 2017. Principles of Aquaponics is a 2-credit, 12-week, fully online course that includes everything from the history of aquaponics to systems design, operation, and marketing products. Introduction to Aquaponics is a comprehensive 3-credit course with online lectures taking place from February to mid-May with in-person, hands-on labs May 22-24 at the UWSP-Aquaponics Innovation Center in Montello, Wis.
Courses are open to anyone interested in a comprehensive learning environment about aquaponics and seeking college credit; non-credit option is also available. These courses have been offered for six years and have graduated over 300 students. A Professional Aquaponics Certificate program is also available.
